Hue Knows does not collect, store, or transmit any of your data. Pixel sampling is entirely local.
Hue Knows uses Apple's ScreenCaptureKit to sample the pixel color under your cursor. This requires the Screen Recording permission in macOS. No screen content is stored or transmitted — only the single pixel under the cursor is read.
Hue Knows does not collect any personal data. Your color history is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted over the network.
Hue Knows makes zero network calls. The app works entirely offline — all color matching and naming runs locally on your Mac.
Hue Knows contains no analytics, no tracking, no telemetry, and no crash reporting beyond what macOS provides by default through Apple.
No account is required to use Hue Knows. There is no login, no sign-up, and no user profile.
